President Museveni Appoints HW Sarah Langa as Chief Registrar
HW Sarah Langa (newly appointed Chief Registrar)

President Museveni appointed HW Sarah Langa Siu as the substantive Chief Registrar of courts of Judicature.

Her appointment is contained in HE Museveni's August 14, 2020 letter to the chairperson of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), Hon. Justice Benjamin Kabiito.

HE Museveni, in the same vein, has also appointed five registrars.

The newly appointed registrars are; HW Harriet Nalukwago Ssali, HW Samuel Emokor, HW Amos Kwizera, HW Susan Kanyange and HW Godfrey Opifeni Anguandia.

Who is HW Langa?

She joined the Judiciary 15 years ago and has risen through the ranks from Magistrate Grade I to Deputy Registrar. In 2015, the Chief Justice awarded her a certificate of recognition for outstanding performance. In 2014, under her leadership as acting Assistant Registrar, the Anti-Corruption Division of the High Court held its first Court Open Day. The Day has since been adopted as one of the activities to commemorate the International Anti-Corruption Week.

She chairs the Justice Law and Order Sector (JLOS) Accountability Sub-Committee under the Human Rights and Accountability Working Group. Her Worship Langa holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration (UMI) and Masters of Law. She is also an alumnus of the International Leaders Programme UK 2016.

In 2017, she was appointed as the Chairperson of Judiciary Contracts Committee.
